Nina Zamberlin [see complete CV]
Obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Sociology (Honor Magna Cum Laude) from Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota. Graduate studies in Social Research in Reproductive Health and Sexuality at the Center for the Study of State and Society in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since 1997 she is part of the research team of the Health, Economy and Society Department at CEDES where she is currently an adjunct researcher. She is specialized in sexual and reproductive health and has carried out research and published extensively on different topics including: adolescent health, adolescent pregnancy and motherhood, contraception, health care reform, prenatal care, cervical cancer, abortion, quality of care, masculinities, migrant’s access to health care and the role of NGOs in the field of sexual and reproductive health, among others.She teaches qualitative research methodology, gender and sexual and reproductive health at undergraduate and graduate level at public and private institutions and has coordinated community workshops for adolescent and adult women on issues of sexual and reproductive health. She has evaluated projects from international organizations such as UNFPA and the World Bank.

She has carried out research for several NGOs on inequalities in health, different NGOs. She has published articles in specialized national and international journals. She has joined the team of experts that wrote the recommendation of the IARC for the implementation of cervical cancer programs, Lyon, France, 2004.
