The Health, Economy, and Society Department was
established in 1983 with the aim of conducting social research on
health systems, policies and programs focusing primarily on sexual
and reproductive health and rights.
The main purpose of the Department’s academic production is
to further scientific knowledge, strengthen an informed public debate,
and facilitate the design, implementation, and evaluation of public
policies capable of fostering social and gender equality.
The Department participates in a collaborative network with the World
Health Organization. |
